Like all Arizonans, the sustainable access to water is an ongoing concern. According to the University of Arizona, our state has five climate zones and all affect the availability of clean water. Managing water resources depends on experts in climate, geology, hydrologists and water allocation experts. It is crucial that the Legislature coordinate with the Arizona Water Commission and the Arizona Corporation Commission to review, repeal, and pass legislation that protects water accessibility for all Arizonans. The Groundwater Management Act was enacted in 1980 and needs to be revisited to protect our resources for the future of all of Arizona.
